I'm Hrvoje, an expat from Croatia, doing my PhD in physics here in Nijmegen. I'm just starting my second year in February. I'm looking for an apartment or a room in Nijmegen for long-term lent. I don't have pets or a car, so I don't need a parking spot (only a place for my bike). I would prefer a location within 15 minutes of biking distance from the Radboud campus. I cook about once a week and I like to keep my living area clean and orderly. Other than English and Croatian, I speak some Italian, and I'm learning Dutch. I'm very open to all nationalities and cultures. In a shared living environment, I would love to hang out with my roommates. I enjoy reading, watching shows and movies (I have Netflix!), listening to music (alternative, but quite eclectic), going to the gym, and having a nice coffee or a nice beer, among many other things.

Vandaar ook de studiekeuze. Ik hou van boeken lezen, gamen, bordspelletjes spelen, sporten, winkelen en uitgaan met vrienden. Een avondje Netflix is ook altijd fijn. I am a very calm, respectful and educated person. Totally respect the space and privacy of others. The most important thing for me, when it comes to renting a room, are the people with whom I am going to share my stay and live with. I don't bring people home, it's not my style. I wake up early around 6am and go to bed early around 10pm. In my free time I like to go out to play sports at the gym or to a park to do cardio. The hours I will have to work during my stay will depend on the job and its schedules, I have several things in mind, but my choice will depend on the conditions and which job interests me most. I speak Spanish and Catalan perfectly, native level. I also speak French at a very high level. And I also speak English at a basic level. I have a Spanish driving license. In addition to working, I would like to take an English course to perfect it and I want to find out about the Yacht Captain and Offshore Yacht Master courses, which I am very interested in. Hi! I'm Yaren, I moved to the Netherlands last year and have been working at the MPI for almost a year now, so I think it is safe to say that I have grown accustomed to the culture and the way of living here. I consider myself to be a clean, social and warm person (amidst all the rain!) :) I am a vegetarian who loves to cook (I make really mean dumplings!), bake and sing and a typical week for me is mostly working/studying but I also like going out for long walks and grabbing a couple drinks with friends. Even though I like going to parties every once in a while, I wouldn't say I'm a big party person.
