Hi! I’m Elise, a French engineering student moving to the Netherlands in October for a 6-month final-year internship. I’m preferably looking for a place in Rotterdam, but I’m also open to The Hague, Leiden, Delft, Amsterdam or Hoofddorp. I’m quite easy-going and I like doing a bit of everything, going out with friends, trying new places, travelling, watching films, having dinner together or just having a chill evening at home. I’m social but I also really enjoy having my own space and some quiet time from time to time. I’ve already lived abroad before and really enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds, so I’d love to find a friendly and international place to live while I’m in the Netherlands. My name is Sofia, I'm 25, originally from Slovakia and I've just started my first year of bachelor's in Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I'm currently based in Almere, however, I'm actively looking for a room closer to the university to cut down on commute expenses. Besides obviously being interested in psychology as I have chosen it as my programme of study, I'm into social science in general - history, sociology, learning languages and immersing in the unfamiliar are also my jam. I'm also an avid reader which is linked to the fact that I used to write one shots and short stories mainly towards the end of primary school and throughout high school (I haven't actually written anything that's not school-related in quite a long while but I definitely want to revert to it at some point). I am pretty respectful of other people's space and boundaries and pretty used to living in shared accommodation at this point - the place I live in now is my 5th shared housing. Therefore, cleaning after using common areas such as the kitchen and bathroom is something I do automatically without having to be reminded of or scolded for not doing it. I'm pretty introverted but I do have extraverted moments every now and then. I value privacy but I'm also definitely down for shared activities, cooking, watching TV or just chilling.
