Hoii, Ik ben Jelmer, 23 jaar en afkomstig uit het mooie Gorinchem. Momenteel ben ik aan het afstuderen in Utrecht voor mijn opleiding Bedrijfskunde en daarna wil ik hier mijn master Banking and Finance gaan volgen. In mijn vrije tijd drink ik graag speciaalbiertjes in de zon, heb ik mijn hele leven gehockeyd (wat ik na de zomer in Utrecht weer wil oppakken) en ben ik regelmatig in de sportschool te vinden. Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Being an athlete since I was little, I am used to sharing with my peers and providing support when required, I am a friendly and social person. Coming from a multicultural family I think I was raised to be respectful and open-minded. Furthermore, Colombian culture is a very friendly, happy and pleasant culture like most South American cultures.

Hoi! Na een studie deeltjestheorie heb ik onlangs hier in Utrecht mijn PhD in wiskunde behaald en ben verliefd geworden op de stad. Sindsdien werk ik bij ProcoliX, een ethisch Nederlands hostingbedrijf. Het merendeel van mijn werktijd besteed ik aan een innovatieproject met de Stimuleringsfonds voor de Journalistiek. In mijn vrije tijd ga ik graag zwemmen en help ik wekelijks mee op een kinderboerderij in Abstede. Ik ben opgegoiet in Duitsland, maar heb een dubbele Duits-Nederlandse nationaliteit. Hoi! Ik ben Liena en ik ben 18 jaar en woon momenteel nog thuis in Wageningen. Vanaf eind augustus verhuis ik naar Enschede omdat ik ga starten met de opleiding Forensisch Onderzoek aan Saxion. In mijn vrije tijd korfbal ik bij KV Wageningen, een van de grotere korfbalverenigingen van de regio. Daarnaast houd ik erg van lezen en puzzelen. Ik vind het leuk om dingen uit te pluizen en op te lossen, wat ook goed aansluit bij mijn studie die ik komend najaar ga beginnen . Hoewel ik nog niet op mezelf heb gewoond, kijk ik er juist naar uit om die stap te zetten. Ik ben zelfstandig, netjes en vind het belangrijk om rekening met elkaar te houden. Ik ben altijd wel in voor een praatje of een gezamenlijke activiteit, maar kan me ook prima vermaken met een boek of een puzzel.
