I've recently come back from working in the U.S.A and before that I've lived in another city here in Portugal so I'm pretty used to living with people. Hey everyone! This is Harshit from India, and I am 21. I'm coming to Leiden University to do a Master's in Astronomy starting this fall. It is a two-year program, so I am looking for a long-term place to stay. I am a quiet and tidy person. I like to watch and play sports like football, badminton and cricket in my free time. I also like to stargaze at night. I love cooking a bit as well (but I've only cooked Indian food till now, so I would like to try different cuisines). Although I am not much of a party person, I wouldn't mind things like movie nights with my roommates. I am a vegetarian but am okay with living with someone who's not vegetarian/vegan. I don't drink/smoke and prefer to live with non-smokers. I have experience living in student hostels during my bachelor's and shared residence abroad during a short internship. I am looking for a studio or a room in an apartment shared with a maximum of 3 other roommates on a long-term contract (from late August, preferably as I'll arrive then), where I can do registration (necessary for my residence permit) in or around Leiden. My budget is around €550/month incl. (can stretch to €600 if necessary).
