Hi! I'm 19 and I've already been living in the Netherlands since August 2025 and know a bit of Dutch. I started studying Industrial Design Engineering at THUAS in September, but already quit (because they were really bad at teaching). I have a part-time job since February. I'm going to study Industrial Design at TU Eindhoven from September, but I'm ready to move a few months earlier. My hobbies/interests are varied, but generally I like thinking about (abstract) stuff and designing/creating things. Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik momenteel in een boeddhistisch centrum en ga ik binnenkort werken in een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology. Daarnaast heb ik ook allerlei verschillende sporten uitgeprobeerd zoals zeilen, go karting en duiken. Ik zou mezelf beschrijven als iemand die open staat voor contact met anderen, nieuwsgierig, hardwerkend en betrouwbaar is. In verband met mijn master zoek ik vanaf uiterlijk september een kamer in Groningen :)
