Mijn naam is Jean-Nicolas. Ik heb de Belgische en Ierse nationaliteit en zal volgend academiejaar starten met een masteropleiding aan de Universiteit Leiden. Samen met mijn vriend Gabriel, met wie ik ook aan de Universiteit Leiden studeer, ben ik op zoek naar een appartement om te delen. Afgelopen semester zijn wij beiden op exchange geweest: ik heb gestudeerd in Hong Kong en Gabriel in Frankrijk, wat ons heeft geleerd zelfstandig en respectvol om te gaan met wonen in een internationale context. Wij zijn rustig, verantwoordelijk en gaan zorgvuldig om met de woning waarin we verblijven. Naast onze studie zijn we actief bezig met sport en maatschappelijke interesses: ik ben vaak in de gym of bezig met basketbal, en we delen een sterke interesse in wereldpolitiek en filosofie. Vanuit die interesse hebben Gabriel en ik samen de filosofiestudentenvereniging aan onze universiteit opgericht, wat ook iets zegt over onze betrokkenheid en verantwoordelijkheidszin. Financieel zijn wij stabiel. Mijn vader, die als expat bij Shell werkt, staat garant voor mij. De vader van Gabriel staat eveneens garant voor hem.
