Hi, I'm Jonghae, 27, from South Korea. I lived in Amsterdam in 2022–2023 and I've just moved back on a working holiday visa. I'm currently looking for work in hospitality. From September 2027 I'll be starting a BSc in Economics and Business Economics at VU Amsterdam, so I'm looking for a long-term place rather than a short stay. About me: I'm quiet and tidy, I cook a lot, and I keep to a regular routine. I'm not a party person, but I'm always up for a meal or a drink with housemates. I've lived in shared houses before — a year here in Amsterdam and a year in Australia — so I know how to keep a shared kitchen usable. On the practical side: since I'm still job-hunting I don't have a Dutch employment contract yet, but I have enough savings to cover my stay, and I'm happy to pay a higher deposit or several months of rent in advance. I can provide a bank statement. One requirement: the address must allow registration with the gemeente (inschrijving mogelijk). I'm in Amsterdam now and can view at short notice.

I’ve already had the chance to live abroad, including several years in Ireland, so I’m used to moving to a new country, adapting to new environments and enjoying the experience of living somewhere different. I now work remotely in marketing, which gives me the flexibility to work from Amsterdam while continuing with my current job.
