I'm an MSC Student of Food Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), and I'm about to spend six months for an Erasmus Exchange Program at Wageningen University & Research institute. I'll start the program on next mid August, just to take part also to the Introductory Days for incoming students, and I'll finish by the end of January. I'm looking for an accomodation to stay during these 6 months and I do not need anything fancy or particular. My basic requirement is a room furnished with a mattress and a desk to study, which are the only things that I'm not able to carry with me from Italy. In general, I'm looking for a room characterized as follows: well kept and clean place, room as silent as possible to let me focus better while studying, university easily reachable by bike or by public transport, and not too many roommates (but I can relax on this last one). I also like social life, but I generally give more importance to my studies. I enjoy socializing with roommates, such as through talking about the culture in different countries, playing cardgames or videogames together, or cooking. Yet, when it comes to going outside too often (and coming back late), hosting unknown friends or having parties at home, this just stresses me a lot, especially next to the exam sessions. Hence, I try to keep a reasonable balance between studying and socializing.

I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football).
