Hello, My name is Ege. I am 23 years old and I am from Istanbul, Turkey. I will be moving to the Netherlands in August to start my Master’s degree in Linguistics at Leiden University in September. I am also hoping to continue with a PhD at Leiden in the future, so I am looking for a calm and stable place where I can settle properly during my studies. I graduated with high honors from Boğaziçi University, one of the top universities in Turkey. I truly enjoy studying, reading, languages, music, archaeology, and travel. I also study Turkish, Greek, Armenian, and Kurdish music traditions and play various string instruments, most recently as part of a traditional Greek music ensemble in Istanbul. However, I prefer a quiet home environment and do not play instruments at home. I am a quiet, responsible, and tidy person. I am not a party person, I do not smoke, and I will not be bringing any pets with me, although I love animals and grew up with my cat, Bebop, who will stay at home in Istanbul with my mother. My father owns a farm in the south of Turkey so I have been around dogs, goats, chicken as well. Mom is a top level executive at a German Insurance company and dad is a farmer and a tourism professional. I am used to co-living and shared living environments, as I have experience staying in dorms, and I always make sure that my living space is clean and well taken care of. I'm Justin (he/him), a 26-year-old American composer and violinist moving to The Hague in August 2026 on a Fulbright US Student Grant to study computer music at the Institute of Sonology (Royal Conservatoire). My project involves composing a new work for spatial audio using field recordings from The Hague—so I'll be spending a lot of time with headphones on, not throwing parties :) Looking to move in in mid-August but flexible with the date. I'm quiet, clean, and easygoing—I currently work as a music therapist and teach violin to kids, so I keep fairly regular hours. Outside of music I practice Zen meditation and watch way too many animated shows. I grew up on the East Coast and have lived in New York, New Mexico, and Seattle, so I'm adaptable and used to navigating new cities.
