Hey hey!  👋 Lovely meeting you here! I am Carmen and if you think I could be a good match as your new roommate, I would love to come by to have a look and chat with you :) But first things first, here's a little bit about myself 👇 Who am I and what do I do? I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. Vind lezen erg leuk, houd ook wel van een drankje doen, uitgaan. Verder ben ik heel schoon aangelegd. verder vind ik het leuk om te koken en lekkere dingen te bakken. I am renting out some space from my apartment. Since I also will stay in the apartment I will be your host (not a student), and as we may spend some time in the same apartment it may be a good idea to share some info about myself. I am broadly interested. I consider myself a social person. I like to be in contact with other people from all kinds of origin and like to talk about all kinds of subjects. I am an alpha as well as a beta person, I am into technical stuff as well as into languages. I do a lot of fitness at home. I have done all kinds of interesting things mostly on the area of IT, but have stopped working on a fixed position for a while now. I am not the type working with a fixed agenda, I eat when I want, sleep when I want, go out where and when I want, but I am quite punctial with my appointments and rules. Also I keep all my business in good order. I am rather experienced with renting to expats, young foreigners and Dutch people, though not in the house where I live myself, so this is new to me, but I am open to new things.

So I will live in Amsterdam for at least three years. I am really communicative, but also can respect when people need their space, therefore I would love to live in a shared apartment. A little about me: I love spending time with my friends and family. I like to go out or stay in -> both have their positives sides and I enjoy both. For sporty activities I’d like to go swimming and just started jogging (but I don’t know if I like it yet) I am very responsible, friendly, open minded, clean, outgoing, positive and reliable. Also I can be very clumsy haha so living with me never gets boring (in a funny way) 😇. I grew up with animals, so I have no problems living with an animal.
