Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment. Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games.
