I will be starting my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Amsterdam in September 2026, and I am therefore looking for suitable accommodation from August onwards. My preferred move-in date is the 1st of September. At the moment, I live in a shared apartment with two roommates, so I am already used to living independently in the Netherlands and respecting shared living arrangements, house rules, neighbours, and rental responsibilities. I am looking for a quiet and stable place where I can focus on my studies and build a long-term routine in Amsterdam. I am able to provide the necessary documents for the application process, including proof of identity, proof of enrolment/admission, current address details, and any financial documents required. I am a creative person and enjoy reading, painting, and artistic activities. I also like socialising in a respectful way and creating a friendly, calm atmosphere at home. I am involved in non-profit youth work, which is an important part of my life and has helped me become organised, responsible, and reliable. I consider myself a respectful and trustworthy tenant. I will be relocating to the Netherlands and expect a higher income shortly. To provide additional security, I am able to pay up to 6 months of rent in advance and can also provide proof of sufficient savings. And I’m looking for a place where I can live for a year. My dogs are Shetland Sheepdogs (medium-sized), both under 10 kg. I am a professional dog groomer and dog trainer, and my dogs are very well-trained. They do not chew furniture or damage the property. After walks, I always clean them properly before bringing them inside. I’ll wash them every two weeks to keep them clean. Once my freelance visa is approved, I will be working as a groomer five days a week. I plan to work at a salon where I can bring my dogs with me, so they will not be left alone at home. I do not smoke and I do not drink alcohol. I am a responsible and reliable tenant. I lived in the UK and Australia for a year each so I’ve used to live in abroad. I take off my shoes when entering the home and always keep the place clean and well-maintained. I will arrive in the Netherlands on July 17, but I am able to start paying rent immediately if needed. Hi! My name is Àlvar, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. This September I'll be moving to Groningen to start the MSc in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment at the University of Groningen. Before this, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where I participated in drug discovery research for retinal degenerative diseases. Besides my research experience, I have also worked in Regulatory Affairs, which has helped me become organised, responsible and used to working in professional environments. I'm looking for a place where everyone feels comfortable, respects each other's space and enjoys a friendly atmosphere. I'm a tidy, quiet and considerate person. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I'm not someone who throws parties at home, although I do enjoy having dinner, watching a movie or sharing a drink with housemates from time to time.
