Hi! I'm a 23 year old student from Naples, graduated last December with a MSc in Mechanical Engineering. I'm starting a second MSc in Nuclear Fusion at TU/e in September, as a scholarship winner, and I'm looking for a room around campus. I'm a very sporty person (2x national rowing champion, but won't tell anyone!), worked as a personal trainer during my studies, and I've been practicing all kinds of sports. I also have a big passion for music, I play piano and guitar (with headphones...) and I can't wait to attend Dutch festivals and concerts. Hello! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary. For me, home is a place to relax after my hectic day at work/school, and in my free time, I love to cook and knit while watching a good movie. I would consider myself to be a calm and tidy person who likes to keep her home in order and maintained. Additionally, in the case of a shared house, I appreciate roommates who take collective responsibility for the common spaces. I am non-smoking and do not have any pets. This is not my first time living alone either, so I am not looking for my first apartment.
