Hello! My name is Adam, I’m 19 years old and I come from Poland. In September, I’m starting my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, with the goal of working in the medtech field in the future. I would describe myself as a very outgoing and open-minded person. I enjoy trying new things, taking on challenges, and I always try to keep a positive attitude, because I believe that mindset plays a big role in creating the life you want. I really like meeting new people, and I usually adapt quickly to international environments - I experienced that during a camp in Switzerland, where I met people from many different countries. Because of that, I think having a friendly and sociable housemate would make student life in Eindhoven even better. My biggest hobby is definitely travelling. I love discovering new places, learning about different cultures, and meeting people from around the world. Besides that, I enjoy learning languages, reading books, following political and social topics, playing computer games, and everything connected with technology, especially electronics and programming. I would also like to start doing some sports and learn Dutch once I move to Eindhoven. As a housemate, I am easy-going, calm, and respectful of others. I like keeping things clean and organized, and I am not someone who creates problems. I don’t smoke, I don’t have any pets, and I enjoy spending my free time improving my cooking skills and trying out new recipes. When it comes to finances, my father will be my guarantor at the beginning. However, I am planning to find a part-time job after arriving in Eindhoven, as I would like to become more independent. I already have some work experience from working in a café for half a year. Hi everyone! I'm Lola, 22 years old and from Vienna, Austria. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, independent, easygoing, and fun to be around. I'm also a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football). Hi, I am moving to Delft or Den Haag from Germany to do my master's degree in applied mathematics at TU Delft. About me: I absolutely love doing sports! Whatever you may suggest I'm down. Mainly I'm going running or cycling but have been thinking about picking soccer back up. I enjoy planning activities spontaneously. I'm just one call away from going for a run, a hike, to the park, cooking dinner together or grabbing a quick beer at the local pub. As my choice of degree may have given away I enjoy pondering complex problems and love to learn. Recently, I have picked up reading again after beeing peer pressured by some friends, which has added a new facet to my life. For the rest of August I am fixated on learning Dutch as much as possible. I have already lived in a shared apartment during my bachelor's degree.
