Hello, I am Alexander (25 y/o, male) and am looking to move to Amsterdam to follow my passiona and work as a chef. I am looking for a room in a shared space or a two/three bedroom apartment to start my own shared flat with my mates from Amsterdam. I’ve lived in shared flats all my adult life, so I know how to be part of a relaxed, tidy, and respectful living environment. My salary will be that of a Chef de Partie in Amsterdam (From what I can tell approx. 3000€ + Tip). Unfortunately I am not able to provide a contract, as the employers wont finalize working agreements until housing is taken care of. If necessary, my parents can act as guarantors. As for myself I am a very uncomplicated fellow, I enjoy the outdoors, ciciling, dinner with friends and have a pretty mindful and healthy lifestyle in general. Hello :-) I'm from Poland, but I lived in the UK for two years. Now, I'm in Groningen, studying physics and math at RUG. It's my second year. People tell me I'm pretty chill and super organized. I really love art and music. Drawing is something I find easy, and I play the piano. Oh, and origami! I've gotten really good at it :-) But, what I want to do in the future is science. I love talking about all sorts of things and hearing what other people think. And I've done a lot of volunteering, which has been really cool. I'm pretty independent, and I get really excited about things that interest me. But I always try to be respectful of what other people think. And if there's a science project, I'm usually in! Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment. Currently I’m working on ‘The End of History’ hypothesis, and the ‘Dialectic of Enlightenment’. Would be happy to send a link to a book I published. Please feel free to ask any questions.
