I have been accepted for a Master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and Marta will be starting her Master’s at the HKU in Utrecht this fall. ​We are looking for a long-term place to call home. Regarding our finances, we are both planning to find part-time jobs while we study and we will be applying for the DUO student finance and housing allowance (huurtoeslag), which ensures we can comfortably cover the rent. ​We have already secured a temporary place from August 3rd to August 26th, which gives us some time to settle in and meet in person if you’d like. Komend studiejaar ga ik beginnen aan mijn tweede jaar van de lerarenopleiding Maatschappijleer aan Fontys in Tilburg. Mijn eerste jaar heb ik aan de Hogeschool Rotterdam gevolgd, maar ik stap over naar Fontys omdat de opleiding daar beter aansluit bij wat ik zoek. Omdat de reistijd vanuit mijn dorp naar Tilburg erg lang is, ben ik op zoek naar een leuke kamer. Ik ben een sociaal, open en betrouwbaar persoon. Hoi! Ik ben Ishara, 22 jaar oud, en momenteel bezig met afstuderen in Toegepaste Psychologie. Vanaf september start ik aan een nieuwe bachelor Psychologie aan de Radboud University. Sinds mijn 18e woon ik al op kamers in Nijmegen en inmiddels heb ik hier echt mijn eigen leven opgebouwd. Op dit moment woon ik in een studentenhuis met een vrij zelfstandige kamer (eigen keuken en ongeveer 30m²), maar ik merk dat ik nu toe ben aan een volgende stap: een eigen studio of appartement waar ik wat meer rust en mijn eigen ritme kan hebben. Ik ben erg zelfstandig, rustig en netjes. Ik hou van een schoon huis en ben eerlijk gezegd een beetje een stress-schoonmaker, er gaat dus wekelijks wel een doekje over alles heen en de stofzuiger wordt regelmatig gebruikt 😄. Ik ga niet vaak uit, organiseer geen feestjes en ga respectvol om met mijn woonomgeving. Natuurlijk heb ik soms vrienden of familie over de vloer, maar verder leef ik vrij rustig. In mijn vrije tijd hou ik van lezen, spelletjes spelen, samen eten met vrienden en gewoon gezelligheid opzoeken. Ik zoek vooral een fijne plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Omdat ik volledig op mezelf ga wonen, vind ik het ook belangrijk om goed en open contact te hebben met een huisbaas/verhuurder en duidelijke communicatie te hebben met elkaar. Ik hoop een fijne, rustige plek in Nijmegen te vinden waar ik voor langere tijd met plezier kan wonen!
