Hi! I’m Simon, an 18-year-old german student from Berlin. I’ve been accepted into the AKI, where I’ll be studying Crossmedia Design. Moving to the Netherlands is a big step for me, and I’m really looking forward to meet new people and start studying what I love. I'm also excited to learn Dutch. In my free time, I love playing various instruments (mostly electronic, so noise won't be that much of an issue with headphones), drawing, photographing and table tennis. My favorite season is winter, and one of my favorite travel destinations is Norway, as you can see in the pictures. I like watching movies or cooking together every now and then. I'm a vegetarian and I'm especially good at cutting vegetables into very small pieces. I'm not a morning person, so I can't solve complicated math problems first thing in the morning. My name is Amir, I am half Moroccan, half German and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. I am studying Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics at UvA and am now moving into my second year. Next to my studies, I work at a boutique hotel on Leidsegracht and am part of a student-led interviewing platform. When Im home, which doesnt happen too often these days, I like to read and relax mostly. I enjoy sharing music as well going to concerts or events of all kinds - from the Matthäus Passion at the Concertgebouw to the Bimhuis jazz club on Tuesdays with my friends or concerts at Paradiso.
