Hoi! Ik ben Tommy, 19 jaar en kom uit Amsterdam, waar ik woon met mijn ouders en mijn zusje van 7. Afgelopen jaar heb ik door Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland en Fiji gereisd en in Australië ook een aantal maanden gewerkt. Ik heb er veel mensen leren kennen, veel buiten geleefd en ben behoorlijk zelfstandig geworden. In september begin ik met Biologie aan de RUG en daarom zoek ik een leuke kamer én een gezellig huis. Ik ben sociaal, relaxed en sportief: ik windsurf, tennis en ben regelmatig in de sportschool. Ook hou ik van koken en gezond eten, gezellig samen eten en dingen ondernemen. In mijn vrije tijd ga ik graag naar de sportschool, reis ik graag, maak ik af en toe foto’s en spreek ik graag af met vrienden. De afgelopen jaren ben ik actief geweest bij Top Dutch Solar Racing, waar ik samen met het team een zonneauto heb ontwikkeld voor de Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australië. Het was een unieke ervaring waar ik met veel plezier op terugkijk. Als huisgenoot ben ik rustig, sociaal en netjes. Ik vind het belangrijk dat de gezamenlijke ruimtes schoon en opgeruimd blijven en draag daar graag mijn steentje aan bij. Daarnaast lijkt het me gezellig om af en toe samen te eten, een drankje te doen of gewoon even bij te praten, terwijl ik het ook prima vind als iedereen zijn eigen ding doet. Hi everyone! I'm Lola, 22 years old and from Vienna, Austria. I'll be moving to the Netherlands at the end of August to get my Masters in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University (The Hague Campus). Ideally, I'm trying to find a room in a shared apartment/house with roommates or a small apartment/studio either in The Hague, Leiden or Delft to rent for a little more than a year starting mid-August. I'm very excited to be studying "abroad" (or away from home, I guess) again, as I find that experiencing new cultures is one of the best things a young person can do. I'm a huge fan of traveling and I got my Bachelor's degree in the United States, so I think living somewhere different in Europe for my Masters will be a cool change. I'm used to living with people, I've always grown up with siblings and spent the last four years living with 1, 2 and all the way up to 6 people, so I'd say I'm quite adaptable and know how roommate life works. As for my free time, I looove all things food and going out to eat, hanging out with my roommates, reading, going out on the weekends but also having fun nights in. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, independent, easygoing, and fun to be around. I'm also a very active person, I've played tennis my whole life and played college sports while in the US but generally enjoy most sports (especially volleyball and football). I don't speak Dutch yet BUT I'll be learning, so for now I hope my German and English (and humble French) will suffice :). Excited to meet you guys!!
