My partner and I are excited to begin this new chapter as expats relocating from India and become part of the Amsterdam community. We are currently searching for a furnished 1 to 2 bedroom apartment starting from 26 August 2026, with a maximum budget range of €1,500 to €2,000. Ideally, we would prefer a place with registration and a long-term contract, but we’re also open to temporary housing for 6 months if that helps us settle in comfortably while we search for something more permanent. We’re flexible when it comes to location, as long as the commute to Bijlmer Arena is manageable by public transport, ideally within 30 minutes or so. Areas such as Amstelveen, Diemen, Amsterdam Zuid, Nieuw-West, Haarlem, Hoofddorp, Aalsmeer, Heemstede, and nearby locations would all work well for us. A bit about us: we’re a quiet, tidy married couple who enjoy exploring new cities, staying active, and building a comfortable home wherever we go. We both value a clean, respectful living space and believe we would be reliable, low-maintenance tenants who would take excellent care of the property. Since this will be our first rental in the Netherlands, we don’t yet have a local landlord reference to share. However, we’re happy to provide other forms of assurance, including proof of employment and income, or references from colleagues in Amsterdam who know me personally. On the documentation front, we’ll be completing our formal registration after arriving in the Netherlands, including BSN and municipality registration, and expect all formalities to be wrapped up within 1 to 2 weeks of landing. Hi there, I am looking for a room or a studio in Amsterdam starting in July. I've lived in Amsterdam since September 2025 and have come here for my university studies.
