Hi! I’m Maria, a Spanish 24 y/o girl who is moving to Amsterdam next September to start an LLM at the University of Amsterdam, looking for a room to rent for the course 2026/2027. I am a qualified lawyer in Spain, currently working as a legal trainee at an international law firm. A little about me, I am an easygoing and friendly person, used to international environments and having roommates. I studied Law and International Studies in Carlos III University, I lived in Maastricht during my Erasmus year, and also studied one semester at the University of Victoria (Canada). I adapt very easily to new people and spaces. I speak four(ish) languages (Spanish, English, French and Italian) so communication will not be an issue at all! 😄 As I have lived with many people during these years, I know communication and respecting people’s spaces is key to have a nice environment at the house. I'm tidy, responsible and respectful, enjoy having my private space but also very friendly. I do not smoke or have any pets and I am a diligent and serious payer and I am truly respecful of neighbors’ tranquility. As regards to my hobbies, I enjoy going to the movies, chatting with friends (preferably over a good cup of coffee), reading and going for walks (and bike rides). I love both being indoors and outdoors and always open to trying (almost) everything! My idea is to move in by the end of August as I start classes on September 1st, but I am flexible with the specific dates. Hoi! Ik ben Ishara, 22 jaar oud, en momenteel bezig met afstuderen in Toegepaste Psychologie. Vanaf september start ik aan een nieuwe bachelor Psychologie aan de Radboud University. Sinds mijn 18e woon ik al op kamers in Nijmegen en inmiddels heb ik hier echt mijn eigen leven opgebouwd. Op dit moment woon ik in een studentenhuis met een vrij zelfstandige kamer (eigen keuken en ongeveer 30m²), maar ik merk dat ik nu toe ben aan een volgende stap: een eigen studio of appartement waar ik wat meer rust en mijn eigen ritme kan hebben. Ik ben erg zelfstandig, rustig en netjes. Ik hou van een schoon huis en ben eerlijk gezegd een beetje een stress-schoonmaker, er gaat dus wekelijks wel een doekje over alles heen en de stofzuiger wordt regelmatig gebruikt 😄. Ik ga niet vaak uit, organiseer geen feestjes en ga respectvol om met mijn woonomgeving. Natuurlijk heb ik soms vrienden of familie over de vloer, maar verder leef ik vrij rustig. In mijn vrije tijd hou ik van lezen, spelletjes spelen, samen eten met vrienden en gewoon gezelligheid opzoeken. Ik zoek vooral een fijne plek waar ik me thuis kan voelen. Omdat ik volledig op mezelf ga wonen, vind ik het ook belangrijk om goed en open contact te hebben met een huisbaas/verhuurder en duidelijke communicatie te hebben met elkaar. Ik hoop een fijne, rustige plek in Nijmegen te vinden waar ik voor langere tijd met plezier kan wonen!
