I am a 24-year-old Canadian law student from Toronto. I have been in Groningen since August 2025. I came to Groningen as part of my Canadian University’s partnership with RUG that allowed me to finish my Canadian Juris Doctor degree and enabled me to get an LLM at RUG. As such, currently, I have completed the Juris Doctor degree and am wrapping up my LLM in Law and Technology at the RUG. In Canada, the study of law is exclusively a graduate study. As a result, I also have an Undergraduate Degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I planned to go back to Toronto for work after the completion of my study in Groningen. However, I have fallen in love with the city and its walkability/cyclability. As a result, I plan to stay in the city for some time and establish a legal career in Europe. Currently, I am in the process of searching for a legal job. In the meantime, I have lined up some part time work to keep up with expenses. Although surprised, my family is supportive of my decision to stay in Groningen and are willing to act as my financial safety net, if needed. I have been paying 800 EUR for my current SSH accommodation and can provide the receipts. Apart from my study and work-based pursuits, I have kept engaged with hobbies in the city including Salsa and Ballroom dancing. I am also a part of the travel association AEGEE and have taken opportunities to travel across 12 European countries. Additionally, I am currently taking Dutch intensive summer classes. I hope to have at least an A2 level proficiency in the language by the end of this summer.

In Sweden I was also a collector of Swedish ceramics and porcelain, mainly objects produced between 1850 and 1940. This interest has been put on hold since moving though. Hi! I'm Roni and I'm looking for a flat/room. A bit about me: I'm from Barcelona and currently I work at the VU as a lecturer. I work from the office always, and weekends I can be out and about quite a bit. So even if I am probably not going to be around much, I still want to find a place that feels like a home and where people take care of the shared space. I have lived in many different shared houses already, I'm used to it and I'm fairly easy to get along with and adaptable. I am a very clean person (I have a passion for ironing) and also not a great cook (so I won't be taking up many hours the kitchen). I'm into hobbies ranging from french film to house parties. Ik ben Dennis, 20 jaar, en na mijn middelbare school cum laude te hebben afgerond, studeer ik nu bestuurs- en organisatiewetenschappen aan de Universiteit van Utrecht en ik begin na de zomer aan mijn tweede jaar als student en ben daarom opzoek naar een kamer of studio in Utrecht. Ik ben een hele beleefde, rustige en sportieve jongen en ik ben erg gesteld op hygiëne waardoor ik altijd secuur met mijn kamer of studio om ga. Verder sport ik heel veel: ik voetbal, doe aan hardlopen en ik ga regelmatig naar de sportschool. Ook houd ik heel erg van koken en gezond eten. Mijn ouders hebben “ons” ouderlijk huis verkocht en vertrekken naar het buitenland, dus ik ben nu echt op mijzelf toegewezen en ben dringend op zoek naar een nieuwe plek die ik thuis kan noemen. 😄 Ik verdien zelf €1200,- per maand en mijn ouders hebben €150.000 garant staan met verkoop van het huis.

Rustige, nette student op zoek naar een kamer of studio. Zeker in voor een praatje, maar ik ben verder vooral een rustige en stille huisgenoot. Daarnaast vind ik opruimen belangrijk en schoonmaken wel fijn om te doen (moeilijk te geloven misschien maar het is echt waar), dus zal zeker bijdragen aan het schoon en opgeruimd houden van het huis. Ik zit op dit moment in de laatste fase van mijn studie. Naast mijn studie heb ik een vaste bijbaan met stabiel inkomen en spaargeld, mijn huur betalen zal geen probleem zijn. In mijn vrije tijd houd ik van sporten, lezen, films, en natuur.
