Hi, I'm Dominik. In June I was admitted to study Computer Science at Saxion University and started organizing my new life as a first year student in Enschede looking for accommodation. I come from a multicultural family - my mother is of Slovak origin and my father is of Colombian origin, so I have both nationalities and I have applied in Saxion University with my Slovak nationality, although I currently reside with my family in the capital of Colombia, Bogota. I am 17 years old and I have just finished my secondary school in Bogota, but very soon I will turn 18 and I consider myself mature enough to move away from my family and embark on a new path at Saxion University. In my multicultural family I have learned since I was little to travel a lot and enjoy adventures of all kinds. From a very young age I have started racing swimming training and today I am the performance swimmer affiliated with the Swimming Federation of Colombia and also of Slovakia. I hope to continue with this hobby also in Holland, since I like sports in general. Outside of sports, perhaps like most young people of my age, I like music and video games. I come from very far away (Colombia) and I have faith that living this way I will be able to adapt much easier to my new life and make lasting friendships with mutual support. Being an athlete since I was little, I am used to sharing with my peers and providing support when required, I am a friendly and social person. Coming from a multicultural family I think I was raised to be respectful and open-minded. Hello! My name is Kiki, I'm 21 years old, I'm Czech and Bulgarian and originally from the United States. I have been living in Amsterdam for almost three years and am currently studying my bachelor's at Amsterdam University College, specializing in media and film. I'm currently looking for a new home to move into in Amsterdam because I will be studying digital media for my master's at the University of Amsterdam next semester. I am also working as a content creator intern at DokaLab, a startup that makes black and white photo printing kits, which is located in Sloterdijk. I lived in a shared apartment for a year, so I have experience having roommates and sharing a space, but currently live alone. I like to spend a lot of time to myself so I would be very happy to have a single apartment, but am also open to living in a shared apartment to have roommates and meet new people! I'm a very social person who's easy to get along with, but do most of my socializing outside and rarely have people over, which I know can be an issue with sharing an apartment. I'm therefore not really into partying or drinking at home and prefer doing calmer, quieter things. I'm also very clean and tidy, don't smoke and like to cook. Currently, in my free time, I love watching movies, photography, video editing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and doing miscellaneous activities in the center.
