Goedendag, Ik ben deeltijd PhD-student aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, bij de faculteit filosofie. Ik heb een dubbele nationaliteit, Duits en Zuid-Afrikaans, en woon al ongeveer twee jaar in Gouda (Zuid-Holland). Daarvoor heb ik in Brussel (ongeveer 7 jaar) en in Berlijn (ongeveer 1,5 jaar) gestudeerd en gewerkt. Gouda bevalt me goed, het was perfect om mijn proefschrift te schrijven, maar de verhuurder verkoopt het huis en ik moet dus vóór augustus van dit jaar verhuizen. I like to have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the occasional social event. Overall, however, I prefer a quieter peaceful environment. Hello! My name is Isabelle and I am originally from Canada but I was raised by a Dutch mother and Greek Father. I grew up going to the Netherlands to visit my family often and I consider it a second home. I was recently accepted into the Master of Museum and Heritage Studies program at UvA and I will be starting my studies at the beginning of September. For my Bachelors I focused on art history and gender representation. I am super passionate about supporting under-represented artists in museum and exhibition settings. In the future I would like to work in a museum, gallery or organization that shares these goals. I am looking to move into a cozy living space either by myself or with a few roommates. I would prefer a room that is partly or fully furnished, as I will be moving with only a few suitcases.
