I am Jira, Nigerian, 24, lived in the Netherlands for almost 7 years, previously living in Ireland and Nigeria in the past. I am looking for a home in Rotterdam as I aim to start my master's degree in September. I had previously lived in Rotterdam, so I have quite some knowledge of the city and would be able to fit in seamlessly with any kind of roommate. In terms of personality and what to expect, I would say I am quiet naturally but have the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and converse for a long time. I am an aspiring model and gym enthusiast I also love gaming and movies especially thrillers. Additionally, I love sports, like football and basketball, and play football as well. In terms of financial situation, I currently am a full-time student, but i have a guarantor – my mother – who will be paying the rent. She earns in excess of 8,000 euros per month, and the rent will not be a problem at all. Payslips and proof of income can be sent immediately upon request. Lastly, I possess good knowledge of the Dutch language and am getting better day by day, and I think I would be an ideal roommate for anyone, both male and female.

Ik ben iemand die het altijd leuk vindt om bezig te zijn, of dat nou een concert op een doordeweekse avond is of impulsief een reis door Centraal-Amerika (dit is ook echt gebeurd). Vanaf komend studiejaar begin ik aan de bachelor Spatial Planning and Design aan de RUG. Daarom ben ik op zoek naar een kamer in Groningen. Momenteel woon ik nog wat verder weg, waardoor dagelijks heen en weer reizen niet echt realistisch is. Ik vind het leuk om nieuwe dingen uit te proberen en ben daardoor altijd met wel iets bezig. Een paar dingen waar ik altijd enthousiast van ben: - Live muziek – Ik ga graag naar concerten en ben er vaak bij als er iets interessants speelt. Soms iets té fanatiek; ik heb een periode gehad waarin ik vijf weekenden achter elkaar naar een concert of evenement ging. Sporten – Actief bezig zijn en mezelf uitdagen vind ik belangrijk. Ik ben trots op het overleven van een gymrace en wil eigelijk ook nog heel graag de mudrun doen. Handwerk – Van houtbewerking tot schilderen, ik vind het leuk om dingen te maken of te fixen. - Reizen – Nieuwe plekken ontdekken blijft één van mijn favoriete dingen. Van 2 maanden reizen door Centraal-Amerika tot met vrienden de Camino lopen in Spanje. ik ben altijd wel in voor een avontuur. Toch zijn het voor mij uiteindelijk vooral de mensen die iets leuk maken. Ik vind het leuk om nieuwe mensen te leren kennen en samen dingen te doen. Of het nu iets is wat ik al jaren doe of iets compleet nieuws, zolang het gezellig is heb ik meestal wel interesse. Ik ben iemand die vaak gewoon “ja” zegt tegen spontane plannen. Als persoon ben ik sociaal en energiek, maar ik heb ook rust nodig. Ik zoek daarom een huis waar af en toe samen iets gedaan wordt, maar waar ook ruimte is voor je eigen ding. Niet constant drukte, maar ook zeker geen stil huis. Als huisgenoot ben ik netjes en houd ik rekening met anderen. Ik doe mijn deel in het huishouden en vind het leuk om af en toe samen te eten of te praten, maar respecteer ook ieders ruimte.
