Hey, so a bit of context, I'm 24, finishing up my engineering degree at RWTH Aachen (mechanical/aerospace side of things), and I'll be in the area from September to end of January for an internship at ASML. I get that it's a short stay and I'd basically be stepping into someone else's spot for those few months, so I just want to be upfront that I'll treat it that way, keeping things clean and the noise down. Realistically I'll be pretty busy with work most of the week, and on weekends I'm usually in Maastricht seeing friends, so the room won't see much wear and tear. I speak German, English and Bulgarian so language isn't an issue, and I've lived in a few different cities already so settling in somewhere new isn't really a problem for me. My name is Dilara, I’m 25 years old, a German citizen originally from Istanbul, and I’m studying Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University. I have been currently accepted for an internship at a mental health clinic, so I work 4 days a week. That’s why I am searching for a place to call home as I’m carrying out my studies and internship. I’ve been living in Leiden since September 2025 and I’m currently sharing a house with 4 other fellow students in Sumatrastraat which ends on July this year. So I’m already adapted to a shared household living. I do not smoke, have no pets. A little bit about me: I usually like being active throughout the day. I love running and I am actually a member of a running club. I love painting sceneries (especially water lillies by the canals!) and spending time in the ceramics studio. I recently got a cineville card so I enjoy going to the cinema too! If you were housemates with me, you’d probably see me in the kitchen baking cookies or trying out new recipes a lot. I am someone who loves sharing in general, whether it’s food, an idea, or just a helping hand. I believe that it is very important to be respectful towards each other in the house and keep the shared spaces clean&organized, so I personally pay attention to that all the time.
