This September I'll be moving to Groningen to start the MSc in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment at the University of Groningen. Before this, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where I participated in drug discovery research for retinal degenerative diseases. Besides my research experience, I have also worked in Regulatory Affairs, which has helped me become organised, responsible and used to working in professional environments. I'm looking for a place where everyone feels comfortable, respects each other's space and enjoys a friendly atmosphere. I'm a tidy, quiet and considerate person. I don't smoke, I don't have pets and I'm not someone who throws parties at home, although I do enjoy having dinner, watching a movie or sharing a drink with housemates from time to time. Outside university I enjoy going to the gym, hiking, cycling and discovering new places. I'm also looking forward to meeting people from different countries and making Groningen feel like home over the next few years. Hoi! Ik ben Liena en ik ben 18 jaar en woon momenteel nog thuis in Wageningen. Vanaf eind augustus verhuis ik naar Enschede omdat ik ga starten met de opleiding Forensisch Onderzoek aan Saxion. In mijn vrije tijd korfbal ik bij KV Wageningen, een van de grotere korfbalverenigingen van de regio. Daarnaast houd ik erg van lezen en puzzelen. Ik vind het leuk om dingen uit te pluizen en op te lossen, wat ook goed aansluit bij mijn studie die ik komend najaar ga beginnen . Hoewel ik nog niet op mezelf heb gewoond, kijk ik er juist naar uit om die stap te zetten. Ik ben zelfstandig, netjes en vind het belangrijk om rekening met elkaar te houden. Ik ben altijd wel in voor een praatje of een gezamenlijke activiteit, maar kan me ook prima vermaken met een boek of een puzzel.
