I am 24, South African and Dutch. I am currently learning to speak Dutch. I do not drink, throw parties or smoke. I value a clean, organised space. I am quiet and often keep to myself but I am always open to be social and have a chat/rant. I love baking and trying new recipes all the time (I have yet to perfect my grans delicious chocolate cake recipe) I also really love nature walks and finding hidden gems in thrift stores.

I am Bas, a social and curious student at UvA with multiple hobbies, including photography, cooking and lots of sports. I'm looking for a place to use as a homebase for my studies and potential work in Amsterdam. I prefer my home to be a calm place where I can rest, however I do want to know my roommates and occasionally eat dinner together or join in shared hobbies such as sports. Previously, I completed my bachelors in Twente and am currently working at NXP in Eindhoven until my master's starts in September. Before this, I lived in the USA on exchange for one year, where I had a lot of awesome adventures!

First and foremost, I am: Exceptionally tidy, attentive and respectful of the property:  even smallest issues/damages don't go unnoticed and are dealt with by me. I keep everything well maintained and take full responsibility. Cleanliness and order at all times is important part of my mindset and the way of living. Financially stable:  I work ~32 hours a week on average, make around €2400 monthly and €29k annually gross, have decent amount of savings and I am very mindful of my finances. No debts or loans. I have been working at FedEx Duiven for over 20 months as a forklift driver. I work through a work agency, however my position is 100% firm there with no realistic possibility of me getting laid off. I currently have the option for a permanent contract, but I cannot take it since I am depended on the work agency housing. I intend to stay in the country and Gelderland area for a long time as I've permanently left my country of origin Lithuania. Very quiet:  no music, no partying, no loud noises. No drinking or any substances nor smoking. I prefer mostly solitary way of living with my lifestyle revolving around mindfulness, self inquiry, meditation. Respectful to those around me:  while I don't speak Dutch and am not particularly social, I am polite at all times and I keep in mind the wellbeing of others. I am willing to be involved in any matters that are important for the landlord or community. Honest and transparent in all matters. I am 33 years old. No pets. I am single. I am able to provide all necessary documents. My reason for moving is that I consider home environment to be very important to my overall wellbeing. A fully independent space is a goal of mine, it would be a great improvement to my current living conditions and open up new opportunities.
