I'm 24 years old and I'm a jazz musician, and this year I'll be studying at Codarts on an Erasmus program ☺️ To give a little context about who I am and where I come from: I'm from Spain and I've been a musician for more than ten years. Throughout my life, I've learned to play a few instruments (saxophone, piano, flute, bass, etc.), but my favorite is definitely the saxophone. I'm currently studying in Valencia, but I'm from a nearby city called Castellón (small and pretty), where you can be at the beach in 20 minutes by bike and where it seems like it's almost always spring. I am passionate about art, and I love making plans that have to do with it (visiting museums, seeing concerts, painting, designing... basically anything). I enjoy nature and making plans for the outdoors, I love animas, meeting new people, going out, going to the gym, going to a bar for a drink, among other things. But most of the time I like to be by myself at home. I love having time for myself, and probably my favorite thing in the world is to stay at home with a blanket and read, watch a movie, listen to music, or just relax. Hallo allemaal, Graag stel ik me even voor. Mijn naam is Damian, 18 jaar en ik kom uit Arnhem. Ik begin in september met Technische Natuurkunde. Die studie past goed bij mij, vanwege de kleinschalige groep en het Nederlandstalige onderwijs. Ook vanwege de locatie en rustige omgeving is dit voor mij de beste keuze. Dat samenwonen in een studentenhuis gaat zeker goed komen. Ik ben een gezellige en relaxte jongen die altijd graag een handje wil helpen. Ik hou van koken, muziek luisteren en maken, kaart- en bordspelletjes en gamen met anderen. Ik zoek een goede afwisseling tussen gezamenlijke activiteiten met m’n huisgenoten, maar ook rust en ruimte voor mezelf en mijn studie. Mijn grootste hobby is zeilen (in een zwaardboot). In de zomer ben ik zeilinstructeur op het Zuidlaar-dermeer. Verder ben ik actief bij de Scouting. Buiten zijn, vuurtje stoken, pizza bakken in een zelfgemaakte buitenoven. Ik draai 1 of 2 keer in de maand mee als welpenleiding. En last but not least, speel ik een klassiek houtblaasinstrument, nl. hobo. Daarmee wil ik in een van de studenten-orkesten gaan spelen. Afgelopen jaar heb ik een tussenjaar genomen. Ik heb flink wat uren gewerkt bij de Plus, ben voorzitter geweest van het AIO (Arnhems Interscholair Orkest) en heb ervaring opgedaan als welpenleider bij de Scouting.
