Hallo, beginnen met een leuke anekdote. ik ben een met een Peugeot 205 naar de sahara gereden. De auto heeft drie keer still gedaan maar de sahara heeft die gehaald. Ik ben 24 jaar en kunststudent aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Ik woon inmiddels drie jaar in Amsterdam. Daarvoor heb ik een tijd in Antwerpen gewoond, zelf ben ik opgegroeid in Limburg. Door die verschillende plekken voel ik mij snel thuis in nieuwe omgevingen en vind ik het leuk om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. Ik ben graag actief en betrokken. Ik lees veel, kijk films en en vind het leuk om die te analyseren en erover te praten, maar ik hecht ook waarde aan rust en een fijne sfeer in huis. In Antwerpen woonde ik in een kunstcollectief met meerdere mensen, waar ik heb geleerd dat samenwonen aandacht en inzet vraagt. Ik vind het belangrijk om mee te denken, afspraken serieus te nemen en bij te dragen aan een huis waar iedereen zich prettig voelt. Koken is een grote hobby van me, vooral de Italiaanse en Marokkaanse keuken. Ik kook graag en vind het leuk om dat te delen. In een periode dat ik een vaste woonplek had, bakte ik regelmatig brood. Naast mijn studie werk ik bij Arti, een kunstsociëteit aan het Rokin, waar ik in de keuken sta en soms help achter de bar. Buiten kunst, films en werk wandel ik graag door de parken van Amsterdam. De laatste tijd loop ik veel door het Vondelpark met een bomenkaart: welke bomen staan er en hoe oud zijn ze? Op een gegeven moment kwam ik erachter dat ik meer merknamen ken dan boomnamen. Het is een soort uitdaging om iets nieuws te leren. Ook houdt ik erg van muziek, en ga ik regelmatig naar concerten — van Cameron Winter en Black Country, New Road tot Claw Boys Claw en Mahlers Vijfde in het Concertgebouw. Het afgelopen jaar heb ik op verschillende plekken in Amsterdam gewoond, wat leuk was om de verschillende stadsdelen te leren kennen. Ik merk echter dat ik nu toe ben aan een vastere plek: een kamer waar ik kan landen en mijn spullen kan laten staan. Hopelijk is deze kamer daar een goede match voor. Ik hoor graag van je.
