Hi!! I'm a 19 year old from Poland, and I will be starting the Media and Culture programme at the University of Amsterdam (Oudemanhuispoort campus) this September. I have previously lived in a shared accommodation in the Netherlands, so I am already familiar with this way of living. I am a responsible, considerate and easygoing person. I never smoke or host parties, and I take my studies seriously. In my free time I study Japanese, indulge in art or media and practice singing. I'm self-sufficient and respect other's personal space, but I'd also be happy to spend time with housemates. Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik werkte ik in een boeddhistisch centrum en een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology. Daarnaast heb ik ook allerlei verschillende sporten uitgeprobeerd zoals zeilen, go karting en duiken. Ik zou mezelf beschrijven als iemand die open staat voor contact met anderen, nieuwsgierig, hardwerkend en betrouwbaar is. In verband met mijn master zoek ik vanaf uiterlijk september een kamer in Groningen :)

Hello! I’m a 20 y.o. single student from Czech Republic, Prague, and I’m moving to Groningen in August to start my Bachelor studies in International and European Law. I’m looking for a room - ideally 10+ months rent, but I’m flexible. I have full financial support from my parents, when I move to the Netherlands (both higher income bankers - ca 50k gross annual income). Though I plan on finding a part-time job in Groningen. I can provide you references and recommendations from my previous employer and landlord. I’m a very tidy and organised person, I don’t smoke and don’t have any pets. I play the flute, but won’t be bringing it to the Netherlands. I’m very excited to meet my new roommates and spend some time with them. Cooking and baking is my comfort activity, so I’d be very happy to cook some delicious dinner that our household can enjoy together.
