Dear Kamernet private landlords, Are you looking for an international, tidy, quiet, reliable, and socially friendly (non-awkward) tenant? Then read on! My name is Halle, a working, 33-year-old American-Vietnamese. I'm currently looking to rent a room, semi-studio, or full-studio space from 1 November or 1 December, 2026, across Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague, Amersfoort, or in any small town nearby. My ideal base rent is 700 euros or less, all-inclusive, and I will need registration. WHY ME? - I've lived in Holland since 2018, so about 8 years now. I know my way around; especially if I live in your home in an area where I've never visited before, it would not matter. I adapt easily and fast to my environment. - I have a Master's in Marketing from Amsterdam, and I've lived as an expat in Texas (where I am from), London, Shanghai, and Amsterdam itself, within different house-sharing situations (with a family, multiple women, multiple males only, with an 80-year-old landlord, and so on). So I am well-educated enough to communicate with different people and know how to address key house concerns in a non-hostile or non- passive manner. I value peace and cleanliness in any home. - Aside from expat experiences, I've traveled well, especially alone as a girl, to places like Albania, Bali, Bulgaria, Tenerife, etc. So I have much to share regarding travel stories and unique personal challenges that helped me become a problem-solver in the house. For example, buying a paper calendar to track who cleans the shared home areas per week or who buys the toilet paper next and creating a WhatsApp group chat for all roommates. - I do not smoke, own pets, have children, do drugs, or regularly host parties. - My lifestyle preferences are open minded or versatile, so you can easily get along with me and I have a stable, quiet job schedule that is not disturbing to housemates. During the weekdays, I am mostly busy online for work, and on weekends, I like to visit Amsterdam to see old friends or do yoga in nearby cities. I do not often come home late (and loud). I can be away for 1-2 weeks every few months for work or holiday. I enjoy jazz to techno to classical piano. I appreciate old vintage Dutch homes and modern ones.
