Hi there, I am looking for a room or a studio in Amsterdam starting in July or August, as my current rental contract is coming to an end at the beginning of August. I have lived in Amsterdam since September 2025. I will be continuing into my second year of studying Human Geography and Urban Planning at the University of Amsterdam in September of this year. I am looking for a place where registration is possible, and I am ideally looking for a 2-year contract. However, 1 year is also possible. I’m a German and Canadian citizen but originally grew up in Bali until I was 12. Before moving to Amsterdam last year, I lived in Berlin, where I was studying to receive my International Baccalaureate diploma. I took a year off from studying, during which I volunteered for 3 months at a yoga retreat center outside of Barcelona. After my volunteering experience, I moved back to Berlin, where I was working full-time as a receptionist at a boutique hotel. I'm currently on the search for a job. I'm a respectful tenant and value keeping my personal space clean and organized. I value keeping a healthy routine for myself by going to the gym or joining workout classes and cooking healthy, nutritious meals. Hi there! My name is Jason, I am 23 years old and I'll be visiting the University of Amsterdam for an Erasmus semester starting August 31st 2026 till January 31st 2027. I am currently living in Konstanz, Germany. I study sociology in my 4th semester now and I also study political science as my minor subject. I would describe myself as a very vibrant and social but also as a very sensitive person. I love engaging with people and to communicate with them, even if they're strangers to me. As I am a student in my home country I already have a lot of experience in living with roommates and how to coordinate everything with them. It's very important for me that everyone gets along with each other so everyone can feel like they're at home. Furthermore, I am very aware of leaving my working spaces clean, e.g. in the kitchen. My studies start on August 31st. It would be ideal for me to move in mid-August but I'd also be able to pay rent beginning August 1st. Financially I am supported by a lot of "programs". I receive student loans in my home country and will also get it for studying abroad. Furthermore, I also get an Erasmus scholarship for studying in Amsterdam. Personally, I used to work as a mailman for two years so I still got a lot of savings left. Additionally, I'm also supported directly by my parents and some family members would try to help as well if something ever happens. If it comes to interests there is a variety of stuff that I engage in! :) I enjoy doing sports, especially swimming. Also, I am very interested in a lot of cultural stuff like museums and festivals that are characteristic for a certain country or community. I also recently started to be very interested in comedy shows and poetry slam but I'm not too deep about that yet. Hi! My name is Emrehan (or Emre could be easier), and I'm currently 25. I'm from Turkey but I've been living in The Netherlands for about three years now. I've been living with my family in South-Limburg ever since I came. I can understand and speak a basic level of Dutch, but I didn't want to be misleading by writing this Bio in Dutch, as most of my daily life is in English. I've been working in a supermarket in hours varying between 24-40 h/w for these last three years. When I move to Nijmegen, I plan to apply to new part-time jobs right away. As of September, I will be starting my Master's in Radboud Uni. I'm pretty happy and excited to get back on track with my aspirations. But the housing situation is also a bit terrifying as I want to have a place where I can anchor now (I don't want to move around for a while anymore :D). Honestly, I am quite sensitive with my boundaries, so I'd prefer a studio (but hey, who doesn't I guess). But we all have to make do with what we have, therefore I can describe myself as someone easy to share tasks with. I try to hold myself to a high standard of being fair to others, so I always get the job done and sometimes more. I am a smoker if that's also relevant. That's pretty much all I can say.
