Hallo! I'm Simon and I just recently moved to the Netherlands from Canada. I am currently staying in Hoorn but hope to move to the greater Amsterdam area to be closer to work and the city. I am a 26 year old highly sociable, relaxed and tidy person with plenty of experience in shared housing and renting. In my off time I enjoy finding new music, drawing, football and going to the skatepark. I currently only speak English but am slowly learning Dutch :) I moved to the Netherlands on Oct. 17 and have multiple job opportunities to take advantage of. Hi, I'm Marie! I spent the past year in Amsterdam doing my Master's in Digital Business & Innovation at the VU, and I'm not quite ready to let the city go. These days I work as a consultant for a German company, fully remote, so I can take my laptop wherever the coffee is good. My ideal Amsterdam day: a slow morning, a long walk or a bike ride through the city, a glass of natural wine at Glouglou in the evening, drinks at Karavaan or party at Huis van lemand Anders, and every now and then a quiet night in. As a roommate I'm tidy, reliable and quiet. I've lived in shared flats and on my own for six years, mostly in sublets, all without any hiccups. I'm also very social: always up for a chat in the kitchen, a cosy evening together or a party. I just got back from a few weeks in Asia, which reminded me how much I love new people and good stories over coffee!!

Verder ben ik sociaal en gezellig, maar vind ik het ook heerlijk om af en toe mijn eigen ding te doen. In mijn vrije tijd houd ik van lezen, ballet, reizen, koken en leuke dingen doen met vrienden. Ik vind het leuk om nieuwe plekken te ontdekken en kijk ernaar uit om Amsterdam en de omgeving beter te leren kennen! Ik ontvang een stagevergoeding en ik word daarnaast financieel ondersteund door mijn ouders, die ook garant kunnen staan voor de huur. De huur betalen is voor mij dus geen probleem.
