At first I'm usually a bit quiet, but once I get to know people I really enjoy having a good relationship with my roommates, sharing a chat or doing something together from time to time. At the same time, I think everyone should have their own space and privacy. Outside work I enjoy history, nature, travelling, reading and trying new things, especially sports. I'm a tidy person (without being obsessed about it) and I like a home where everyone feels comfortable and respects each other. I was very lucky with my previous housemates in Madrid, so I'm hoping to find a similar atmosphere here. For me, a house is much more than just a place to sleep.

Hello, I'm Emilio. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in May 2026. I was born and raised in Napa, California but have lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 2 years. I have three citizenships, American, Italian and Canadian. I speak English and some Italian, but no Dutch (yet!). I hope to take that knowledge of the Netherlands and bring it back to the USA to help improve our car-centric cities here. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s at University of Amsterdam to study Human Geography and Planning, eventually gaining a Masters in a related field. In terms of housing, my preference would be in Amsterdam within a reasonable commute to the Roeterseiland campus, but understand I may need to look further out. I would prefer to live in a private studio, but I’m also open to shared housing. In Denver, I’ve lived with three various other roommates the whole time, and all of us have gotten along very well. I’m very clean and quite quiet, though I do like socializing with my roommates when we’re able to. Having lived with roommates the past 2 years, I’m more than happy to share a space with others and I keep common areas very tidy. I’m excited to meet people from around the world and experience my next chapter.
