Hi there! My name is Jason, I am 23 years old and I'll be visiting the University of Amsterdam for an Erasmus semester starting August 31st 2026 till January 31st 2027. I am currently living in Konstanz, Germany. I study sociology in my 4th semester now and I also study political science as my minor subject. I would describe myself as a very vibrant and social but also as a very sensitive person. I love engaging with people and to communicate with them, even if they're strangers to me. As I am a student in my home country I already have a lot of experience in living with roommates and how to coordinate everything with them. It's very important for me that everyone gets along with each other so everyone can feel like they're at home. Furthermore, I am very aware of leaving my working spaces clean, e.g. in the kitchen. My studies start on August 31st. It would be ideal for me to move in mid-August but I'd also be able to pay rent beginning August 1st. Financially I am supported by a lot of "programs". I receive student loans in my home country and will also get it for studying abroad. Furthermore, I also get an Erasmus scholarship for studying in Amsterdam. Personally, I used to work as a mailman for two years so I still got a lot of savings left. Additionally, I'm also supported directly by my parents and some family members would try to help as well if something ever happens. If it comes to interests there is a variety of stuff that I engage in! :) I enjoy doing sports, especially swimming. Also, I am very interested in a lot of cultural stuff like museums and festivals that are characteristic for a certain country or community. I also recently started to be very interested in comedy shows and poetry slam but I'm not too deep about that yet. Ik ben Felix (22) en tweedejaars student MediaMusic aan het ArtEZ Conservatorium, waar ik me ontwikkel tot film en mediacomponist. Binnen mijn eigen onderneming schrijf ik muziek voor verschillende projecten, zoals korte films, documentaires en af en toe games. Daarnaast werk ik regelmatig als geluidsman op filmsets, wat zorgt voor een fijne afwisseling. Het is leuk om onder de mensen te zijn en onderdeel uit te maken van een creatief team. Ik bespeel meerdere instrumenten, maar doe dit voornamelijk op school of met een koptelefoon, zodat ik thuis geen overlast veroorzaak. Ik woon inmiddels ruim twee jaar in Gronau en ben op zoek naar een plek dichter bij het centrum. Het lijkt me fijn om spontaner met vrienden af te spreken, samen iets te drinken of gewoon wat meer levendigheid om me heen te hebben. Enschede ken ik inmiddels al goed, maar ik sta er ook voor open om nieuwe plekken te ontdekken. Ook wil ik graag een bijbaan in Enschede vinden, wat een stuk makkelijker wordt als ik dichterbij woon. Naast mijn studie ben ik actief in het ArtEZ-voetbalteam. We spelen misschien in de laagste klasse, maar plezier en teamspirit staan voorop en een gelijkspel voelt soms al als een overwinning. Ook ga ik graag naar de sportschool, en is het als toekomstige huisgenoot altijd mogelijk om gratis mee te gaan op mijn abonnement. Als huisgenoot ben ik rustig, netjes en sociaal. Ik vind het leuk om na een drukke dag even bij te praten, maar respecteer ook ieders behoefte aan ruimte. Ik sta open voor anderen en denk graag mee wanneer dat nodig is. In huisgenoten zoek ik mensen die net als ik rustig, schoon en gezellig zijn.
