Hoi and hello! Mijn naam is Hannah, ik ben 24 jaar oud en kom uit Aken in Duitsland. I graduated in "Politics and Society" and "English Studies" from Bonn University and would like to continue my studies at Leiden University. But don't worry, I'm not as boring as my studies sound. I'm an outgoing, communicative person who likes to spend time in nature but also enjoys cozy evenings reading books, writing and watching movies. In my free time, I like to cook, bake and try out new things. The newest addition to that is archery (and I haven't shot anyone yet out of accident, so that's a bonus). Although I like to spend time with other people, I'm a calm person who also appreciates peace and quiet sometimes. So concerning that, I'm a quiet, unobtrusive roommate. Living together is about respecting each others needs and wishes. You want to spend your evening alone or simply sit together for company? That's fine. You want to have long and fun conversations about books, history, TV shows and all things under the sun? Also fine, I'm your woman. So that's me so far. I'd be happy if that sparked your interest. Something else that might be good to know is that I'm fluent in both English and German. I also speak a little Dutch, since I've started to learn it, but so far it's mostly understanding what people say. But that'll improve over time since the reminder-Owl from my language learning app Duolingo is quite persistent. Tot ziens and hopefully see you soon!

I moved to the Netherlands for my job in January - I work as a translator for an international travel company - and am temporarily living in a shared apartment. Since the landlord will sell the house and my rental contract ends at the end of April, I'm looking for a new home starting from mid-April/beginning of May. My office is located in Amsterdam, so I'm looking for a quiet (studio) apartment or a quiet room in a shared apartment close to a train/tram station or bus stop with good connections to "Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena". However, since I work partly from home, a commute of up to an hour is fine to me, and I'm open to accommodation outside of Amsterdam if I can reach the office within a reasonable time. I'm a reliable, tidy and clean tenant and take good care of the space I live in. I'm quiet and am also looking for a quiet space since I work from home on some days. Therefore, I'm also looking for a space with enough room to have a desk and an office chair (apart from the usual bed, closet, etc.). If you offer a room in a shared apartment, please additionally note: I have lived in various shared apartments before and can accommodate to different kind of roommates easily. I'm a nice, quiet (but sociable), tidy and reliable person. I'm respectful towards my roommates' needs, and will always treat shared spaces and your privacy with care.

heyy, my name is Sebastian. I am a 19 year old German looking for accommodation in Amsterdam starting in September, since I will attend to the VU Amsterdam for my PPE Bachelor studies. Currently I am absolving a voluntary social year in Philadelphia, USA. During this year I am living together with 2 other German volunteers in our own apartment. Therefore, I would describe myself as an already experienced and responsible tenant. I would claim that I am a really tidy and neat person always looking after the tidiness of the apartment. I love living with other people as I am a really outgoing person but at the same time know how important it is to respect boundaries of ones roommates.
