I am a scientist that works in genetics, molecular biology and biomedical research. I moved from Spain to Netherlands 5 years ago and completed my PhD in Nijmegen. Now I will continue to do research against cancer in the Netherlands, and I am looking for a place to live while doing so.

I am originally from Frankfurt am Main (Germany), but moved to Amsterdam last summer, to attend university. I knew right from the start, that this would be my city - the architecture, the freedom of biking, the music and yes, also the people. During my first year of uni, I was lucky to be able to live in student accommodation, where I met a lot of cool people. However, this contract is running out soon. Now, I am very much looking forward to finding a new home and maybe getting to know some nice new roommates. I am a very social person, who loves playing cards, cooking dinner together, and going for pub crawls. However, there is always a balance. Some days I spent studying, dancing to The Smiths alone in my room and going for a run to free up my head. I love exploring new parts of the city, whenever I can. In fact, I now also work as a city tour guide and get to exchange my experiences with others. Additionally, my parents support me financially and would serve as guarantors. Heyy! Ik ben Laura, 18 jaar (19 in aug), en ik begin in september aan mijn vierjarige bachelor ‘theatervormgeving’ aan de HKU in Utrecht. Ik woon momenteel in provincie groningen. Dat betekent dat ik elke dag 3 uur heen en 3 uur terug zou moeten reizen. Dus, ik zoek een kamer in/om Utrecht. Wie ben ik? Ik ben een rustige, gezellige en creatieve student. Ik teken, schilder, schets, bouw, klei, snij lino’s, bak, maak muziek, naai eigen kleding en kostuums. Ook maak ik vaak lange wandelingen en boulder ik af en toe. Ik ben Introvert, maar sta open voor een praatje en ben sociaal rondom leuke mensen. Ik ben op zoek naar een gezellig huis, met mensen die evt soms samen eten of leuke dingen doen. Ik zoek een kamer van minimaal 12 m², zodat ik ruimte heb om mooie dingen te maken. Mijn studie begint op 1 september, daarom hoop ik uiterlijk in augustus te verhuizen.
