Hi! My name is Hanna, I am 24 years old from Oslo, Norway, and looking for a room in Leiden/the Hague! I will begin my MA degree in International Relations at the University of Leiden this fall, and I hold a BA degree in European studies w. political science from Norway. I have previously studied one semester in Utrecht, and really loved the Netherlands, so I am very excited to come back! After I finished my BA in 2024, I have been working full time at the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Oslo. I therefore speak German in addition to Norwegian and English. I am currently learning Dutch online, and plan to sign up for a language course when I arrive. In my free time, I’m very social, and I enjoy spending time with friends and staying active, and I’m generally open to most social activities! I love nature, music, art, festivals, hiking and just good times with friends. I’m an easy-going and tidy person who values a shared living environment where it’s easy to do things together—whether that’s cooking dinner when there’s time, going for walks, celebrating special occasions, or just relaxing on the couch with a movie. Hallo allemaal, Graag stel ik me even voor. Mijn naam is Damian, 18 jaar en ik kom uit Arnhem. Ik begin in september met Technische Natuurkunde. Die studie past goed bij mij, vanwege de kleinschalige groep en het Nederlandstalige onderwijs. Ook vanwege de locatie en rustige omgeving is dit voor mij de beste keuze. Dat samenwonen in een studentenhuis gaat zeker goed komen. Ik ben een gezellige en relaxte jongen die altijd graag een handje wil helpen. Ik hou van koken, muziek luisteren en maken, kaart- en bordspelletjes en gamen met anderen. Ik zoek een goede afwisseling tussen gezamenlijke activiteiten met m’n huisgenoten, maar ook rust en ruimte voor mezelf en mijn studie. Mijn grootste hobby is zeilen (in een zwaardboot). In de zomer ben ik zeilinstructeur op het Zuidlaar-dermeer. Verder ben ik actief bij de Scouting. Buiten zijn, vuurtje stoken, pizza bakken in een zelfgemaakte buitenoven. Ik draai 1 of 2 keer in de maand mee als welpenleiding. En last but not least, speel ik een klassiek houtblaasinstrument, nl. hobo. Daarmee wil ik in een van de studenten-orkesten gaan spelen. Afgelopen jaar heb ik een tussenjaar genomen. Ik heb flink wat uren gewerkt bij de Plus, ben voorzitter geweest van het AIO (Arnhems Interscholair Orkest) en heb ervaring opgedaan als welpenleider bij de Scouting. Heerlijk om een heel jaar geen druk van school te hebben, maar nu ben ik wel écht toe aan studeren, vrienden maken en veel lol hebben op mijn eigen plek! Groeten, Damian

Hi everyone! My name is Krzysztof, I'm 19 years old and I'm moving from Poland to Nijmegen this August to start my Bachelor’s in Artificial Intelligence at Radboud University. I’m a calm, organized person who truly values his alone time and privacy to recharge, clear my head, and focus on my studies. I'm definitely not a non-stop party animal, but I do enjoy a good balance! Once every while, I love to head out for a casual weekend walk around town, grab a kebab, or share a beer and a good laugh with friends/housemates. In my free time, I’m a big tech enthusiast (currently into low-level programming in Rust) and a passionate long-distance cyclist. Back in Poland, I regularly did 50-70 km trips, and my dream is to bike all the way from Nijmegen to Amsterdam or The Hague someday. My name is Mia, I'm 21 years old and moved from germany to the netherlands in summer 2025 because of my now ex-boyfriend,... So now i am looking for a place to live. I work for QCS-NL, a cargo logistics company in Schiphol. I am a rather introverted and quiet person, but as soon as i get to know someone, i will warm up pretty quickly. I am also a very artistic person from music over painting and crocheting to digital modelling, i have done pretty much everything there is. I hate yelling and arguments, if there is an issue i am the kind of person that will try to talk everything out and compromise until everyone is happy with the outcome (or at least can bare with it), with that i am also a very forgiving person, which in my opinion is also one of my biggest flaws.. I got a huge soft spot for animals, but as much as i love to, i can completely understand that pets are not welcome everywhere. I know the fact that i listen to rock and metal music can be scaring, but i am more of a concert go-er than listening to music at home. I am around 10 hours for 5 days a week at work and most weekends i spend in hoorn together with friends. I'd love for a chance to meet more people and find a place to live.
