Waarom ik geschikt ben als huurder; Ik ben een 25-jarige man en woon inmiddels ruim 5 jaar zelfstandig in Utrecht. Mijn eerste 3,5 jaar woonde ik via Kamernet in een studio op het Utrecht Science Park. Daarna heb ik 2 jaar een appartement gehuurd met een huurcontract voor bepaalde tijd. Dit contract loopt af op 01-05-2026. Van mijn huidige verhuurder heb ik een positieve huurdersverklaring en in overleg is een eerdere overstap naar een nieuwe woning mogelijk. In september start mijn afstudeerjaar van de opleiding Journalistiek aan de Hogeschool Utrecht. Ik ben daarom op zoek naar een woning voor de langere termijn (5–10 jaar), zodat ik mijn werkzame en sociale leven verder kan opbouwen in en rondom Utrecht. Hello! I'm a self-employed multidisciplinary creative professional (photographer/creative director/media background) who relocated to the Netherlands from the U.S. in February. I have a valid visa & residence permit, a business registered with the KvK, a growing network of Dutch friends and a sense of community, having previously spent extended stays in the NL twice in two years. This time, my move is permanent. I have never felt more at home than I do with my feet in the ground in the Netherlands. I am in LOVE with Het Gooi region, where I'm and am temporarily staying. I know every trail, every neighborhood, farm and public transport access from Bussum, Huizen and Blaricum to Laren and Hilversum. I'm also familiar with Naarden, LOVE Baarn, Hoorn, Haarlem, Amersfoot and Den Haag - where I have friends. I'm aware of the housing shortage, and will happily consider any availability within a 90-minute commute by public transportation to Amsterdam, where much of my work seems to be. I have an excellent rental history and personal references and I care for my space. I have a green thumb, love people, adore animals, art, am newly enthusiastic about golf, opera, and even the raindrops most complain about - there's serenity in gray days, too! I would love my independence and a studio or apartment, but I also understand the housing shortage yields few or unaffordable rentals, so I'd be open to discussing sharing in a bright, comfortable place with someone kind and respectful, who appreciates some privacy and room to breathe. :) I have no pets, but huge bonus if you do! ;) Registration is necessary.
