Hiervoor werkte ik bij de Koninklijke Marine, maar de ambitie om arts te worden bleef kriebelen. Uiteindelijk heb ik besloten die droom na te jagen, en daar heb ik geen moment spijt van gehad. Door mijn achtergrond ben ik behoorlijk gedisciplineerd en zelfstandig. Met de hoeveelheid studiestof die bij Geneeskunde komt kijken is dat ook geen overbodige luxe. De meeste dagen breng ik veel tijd door in de UB, vaak ook in het weekend. Naast studeren vind ik het belangrijk om sociaal actief te blijven. Ik woon inmiddels al vijf jaar in Amsterdam en ken de stad daardoor goed. Ik spreek graag af met vrienden, ga af en toe de stad in en geniet van alles wat Amsterdam te bieden heeft.
