My name is Henri. I’m from a small town near Bremen, Germany and live there with my parents, my two brothers, and our dog. After finishing school, I took a gap year and traveled to Asia with my girlfriend. Afterwards, I completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at a big company that produces plastic parts for industries like food and automotive. Now I’m moving on to the next chapter: I’ll be studying Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Twente. Sports are a huge part of my life. CrossFit, padel, running, swimming and beach volleyball are my go-to’s these days. I also used to play football, tennis and handball. I just love trying new things! I also love exploring new cities and countries. Discovering different cultures, meeting new people and (most importantly for me 😄) trying new cuisines. Cooking is a real passion of mine, especially Asian and Italian food. Every Christmas, my brothers and I cook a special dish for the family. Cooking and eating together in the evening is basically a daily ritual in our household and it’s one I’d love to keep going. In my free time, I’m usually hanging out with my girlfriend or my friend group. Hi! Ik ben Merel, 19 jaar en ik heb net mijn eerste jaar Fysiotherapie afgerond. Ik kom uit Aalten, een dorp in de mooie Achterhoek. In mijn vrije tijd sport ik graag en sta ik regelmatig op het voetbalveld. Op dit moment voetbal ik nog in Aalten, maar ik zit over te denken om dit in Enschede te gaan doen. Als ik zou zeggen dat ik van poetsen houd dan zou ik liegen, maar vervelend vind ik het niet zolang er maar muziek op staat!
