Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik momenteel in een boeddhistisch centrum en ga ik binnenkort werken in een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology. Daarnaast heb ik ook allerlei verschillende sporten uitgeprobeerd zoals zeilen, go karting en duiken. Hi! I’m Simon, an 18-year-old german student from Berlin. I’ve been accepted into the AKI, where I’ll be studying Crossmedia Design. Moving to the Netherlands is a big step for me, and I’m really looking forward to meet new people and start studying what I love. I'm also excited to learn Dutch. In my free time, I love playing various instruments (mostly electronic, so noise won't be that much of an issue with headphones), drawing, photographing and table tennis. My favorite season is winter, and one of my favorite travel destinations is Norway, as you can see in the pictures. I like watching movies or cooking together every now and then. I'm a vegetarian and I'm especially good at cutting vegetables into very small pieces. I'm not a morning person, so I can't solve complicated math problems first thing in the morning. On the other hand, I'm very creative and have a good sense of humor. I'm responsible and environmentally conscious. I was active with Fridays for Future.
