Ik ben Mara, 22 jaar en woon momenteel in Nijmegen. Momenteel die doe ik een tussenjaar na een Bachelor Psychologie. Tijdens mijn studententijd stond ik altijd open voor contact met medestudenten. Zo nam ik deel aan een studentenvereniging gericht op theater en deed ik mee aan verschillende cursussen in sport zoals badminton en boksen. Met vrienden vind ik het erg leuk goede gesprekken te voeren, te wandelen en iets te drinken in een café. Zelf sport ik graag, houd ik van tekenen, lezen en series en films kijken. Ook werk ik al anderhalf jaar bij een mentale support lijn waarbij ik emotionele ondersteuning bied aan jongvolwassenen. Tijdens mijn tussenjaar ben ik gaan reizen door verschillende landen in Europa en doe ik vrijwilligerswerk waarbij ik in contact kom met mensen van verschillende religies en culturen. Zo werk ik werkte ik in een boeddhistisch centrum en een vluchtelingenkamp. Dit sluit ook aan bij de master die ik wil gaan doen in Groningen; Applied Social Psychology. Daarnaast heb ik ook allerlei verschillende sporten uitgeprobeerd zoals zeilen, go karting en duiken. I have been living in the Netherlands for three years now in Maastricht, and am moving to Amsterdam to complete my masters degree. I would describe myself as a studious, friendly and fun person. I spend quite a lot of time studing but also enjoy a good life balance too. 2. What I do ------------------------------------------------------- I am currently enrolled in the Law and Finance Masters programme at the University of Amsterdam. I studied International and European Law for my bachelor in the south of the Netherlands. I work part-time for three days a week alongside my studies at a Dutch law firm. I also work for four organisations: International bar association, international legal research fund, homelessness rights centre and student investments association. I am an English teacher to Ukrainian children but also work as a private estate manager in the summertime. 3. What I like to do ------------------------------------------------------- Daily, I enjoy waking up early and catching the quietness that comes with the morning. I also like to attend the gym for yoga and general fitness, in addition to a lot of evening walks.
