Throughout my life, I've learned to play a few instruments (saxophone, piano, flute, bass, etc.), but my favorite is definitely the saxophone. I'm currently studying in Valencia, but I'm from a nearby city called Castellón (small and pretty), where you can be at the beach in 20 minutes by bike and where it seems like it's almost always spring. I am passionate about art, and I love making plans that have to do with it (visiting museums, seeing concerts, painting, designing... basically anything). I enjoy nature and making plans for the outdoors, I love animas, meeting new people, going out, going to the gym, going to a bar for a drink, among other things. But most of the time I like to be by myself at home. I love having time for myself, and probably my favorite thing in the world is to stay at home with a blanket and read, watch a movie, listen to music, or just relax. Hey friends, it’s my first time venturing out into this form of finding a place while traveling. This is the first summer we are able to stay away from our home for more than 2 weeks and we’re looking for a local experience rather than a hotel (having just left the corporate world). My wife and I are both psychologists and I am a masters student at Oxford University (part time) while we both run a training center in applied mindfulness and psychology. I hold a bachelors in chemical engineering and a double masters in applied positive psychology and mindfulness. My wife is a clinical psychologist. We live in Dubai, where our work and life is built. For this summer we are planning to spend a month in Oxford (as I complete my thesis), a month in Amsterdam, and a month in Portugal — where we have a home (our little fur child — a red haired Shiba Inu — is at our extended family home, we couldn’t bring her with us due to restrictions in the UK 👎). We found a home for our stay at Oxford and now looking for a home for our stay in Amsterdam (or nearby) We are tidy, organized and enjoy quiet mornings and quiet evenings. A cafe nearby to read at and a park and shopping area to enjoy. That for us is an ideal vacation. We have sublet our home in Dubai while traveling before so we understand how important it is to take care of a home and look after it like our own.
