My story begins in Latvia (Baltic States), here i have grown up and over time i managed to learn to play saxophone and piano, and overall make music, and listen to all kinds of jazz-fusion music. Hello! My name is Adam, I’m 19 years old and I come from Poland. In September, I’m starting my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, with the goal of working in the medtech field in the future. I would describe myself as a very outgoing and open-minded person. I enjoy trying new things, taking on challenges, and I always try to keep a positive attitude, because I believe that mindset plays a big role in creating the life you want. I really like meeting new people, and I usually adapt quickly to international environments - I experienced that during a camp in Switzerland, where I met people from many different countries. Because of that, I think having a friendly and sociable housemate would make student life in Eindhoven even better. My biggest hobby is definitely travelling. Besides that, I enjoy learning languages, reading books, following political and social topics, playing computer games, and everything connected with technology, especially electronics and programming. I would also like to start doing some sports and learn Dutch once I move to Eindhoven. As a housemate, I am easy-going, calm, and respectful of others. I like keeping things clean and organized, and I am not someone who creates problems. I don’t smoke, I don’t have any pets, and I enjoy spending my free time improving my cooking skills and trying out new recipes. When it comes to finances, my father will be my guarantor at the beginning. However, I am planning to find a part-time job after arriving in Eindhoven, as I would like to become more independent. I already have some work experience from working in a café for half a year. And once that is done, I like to both hang out with my flatmates and friends to really do anything together, from taking a walk around the city, playing sport, cooking dinner and watching a sitcom or a movie together, to going out in the weekend. But I also like to spend some time on my own, chilling or working on my projects. About the house chores, I've already lived abroad with other flatmates and I would really want the apartment to be clean and tidy, and especially clean the kitchen after having it used, as to not make others do it for you. Financially, my rent is fully secured by my personal savings and my parents, who will act as financial guarantors.
