I’m Sara, I’m 29 years old and I’m Italian. I’m currently doing a PhD in Italy in Turin, where I’ve been living for the past 10 years. I’m originally from Sardinia, so I’m quite used to living far from home, moving around and living in rented apartments! Now I’m moving to Utrecht for a semester at the Science Park, and I’m really excited about this new experience. I would say I’m a very outgoing person. Hoii, Ik ben Jelmer, 23 jaar en afkomstig uit het mooie Gorinchem. Momenteel ben ik aan het afstuderen in Utrecht voor mijn opleiding Bedrijfskunde en daarna wil ik hier mijn master Banking and Finance gaan volgen. In mijn vrije tijd drink ik graag speciaalbiertjes in de zon, heb ik mijn hele leven gehockeyd (wat ik na de zomer in Utrecht weer wil oppakken) en ben ik regelmatig in de sportschool te vinden. Op een zonnige zaterdag sta ik ook graag op een hardstyle feestje en nee, niet in mijn trainingspak ;) Daarnaast werk ik nu als werkstudent bij een vastgoedbedrijf en sta ik al zo’n 7 jaar in de horeca op een gezellig terras. Omdat ik me de komende tijd echt in Utrecht wil vestigen, ben ik per direct op zoek naar een kamer met gezellige huisgenoten waar af en toe samen eten, een biertje doen of iets leuks ondernemen vanzelfsprekend is. I'm Chani, 27, and I work in quality assurance for medical technology. For the past five years I've built and run the quality systems behind medical devices , most recently as senior QA officer on an autonomous medical robot, and now as quality and risk lead at Niavicta, where I'm also co-founder. I have an M.A. in International Management, with a thesis on the adoption of autonomous medical devices that was graded with distinction, and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, cum laude. I'm originally from South Africa, where I worked in medical device regulation before moving to the Netherlands in 2023. I've been in Utrecht since then, so this would be a local move rather than a fresh start, I know the area and I'm settled here. Outside work I'm at the gym a few times a week and I walk a lot; it's how I get away from a screen. The rest of my free time mostly goes into programming , I'm usually building something, learning a new tool, or taking a system apart to see how it works. As a housemate I'm tidy, self-sufficient and easy to live alongside. I cook properly, clean up after myself, and I'm not someone who fills the house with people. I like coming home to a calm place at the end of the day. I'm not a student, which in practice means a steady income, a predictable weekday routine, and no plans to move out at the end of a semester.
