My name is Fernando Rodríguez Barroso. I am a third-year student at Leiden University, studying International Relations and Organisations (Political Science). Born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera, I am Spanish and have lived there until I was 18, when I went to study in the United States for a year. I have been living in The Hague for two years now, but my connection to the Netherlands goes back over eight years, thanks to a close family friendship in Amsterdam. I speak Spanish and English fluently, and I already have a good command of Dutch, although I intend to keep improving it until I can speak it with fluency. For the time being, I plan to continue studying for my master’s degree in the Netherlands, as I feel very at home in this country and its culture. I consider myself a respectful, easygoing and open-minded person. I like to be organized and create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. Moreover, I am a friendly and sociable person who loves a good balance - studying hard but also having time for plans like sharing a meal, cooking some good Spanish food or hanging out in the city and have some drinks. I also keep myself active, since I am currently playing for a local football team.

Sinds de start van dit schooljaar ben ik begonnen aan de studie Interior Design aan hogeschool Saxion in Deventer en houd er dus van om creatief bezig te zijn en om lekker wat te doen.
