Hoi! Ik ben Luuk, 24 jaar en ik ben net afgestudeerd als psycholoog aan de Radboud Universiteit. Ik vind studeren ontzettend leuk en heb het erg naar mijn zin op de uni. Daarom wil ik na het afronden van deze master nog een master gaan volgen in de richting van Cognitieve Neuropsychologie waarna ik hopelijk een PhD kan gaan doen. Op dit moment werk ik als onderzoeksassistent bij diverse onderzoeksgroepen. In mijn vrije tijd sta ik graag in de keuken, lees ik boeken, of trek ik mijn sportschoenen aan voor een rondje rennen of een potje squash. Mijn vriend woont in Utrecht en we proberen elkaar te zien in het weekend. Inmiddels woon ik al bijna vijf jaar op mezelf en heb ik altijd met drie meiden samengewoond in twee verschillende huizen. Ik rook niet, heb geen huisdieren en hou ervan om samen te zorgen voor een opgeruimd huis. Ik heb momenten dat ik graag op mezelf ben maar vaak vind ik het wel gezellig om samen te kletsen, eten of een spelletje te spelen.

Hoi! Ik ben Dorka, ik kom oorspronkelijk uit Hongarije, maar heb de afgelopen 7 jaar in Zwitserland gewoond. Drie weken geleden ben ik naar Amsterdam verhuisd! Gelukkig ken ik de stad al best goed en ik heb hier al lieve vrienden. Mijn Nederlands is nog niet perfect, maar ik kom steeds dichter bij vloeiend spreken! Ik ben chemical engineer and yoga docent. Ja, een bijzondere combinatie! Ik werk als wetenschapper bij een biotech bedrijf in Amsterdam. In het begin werk ik daar 5 dagen per week, maar later mag ik ook deels thuiswerken (niet meer als 2 dagen per week). Even iets meer over mij: ik hou van reizen (ben net terug van bijna 4 maanden in Latijns-Amerika!), lezen, koken, dansen (vooral op electronic music), en met vrienden op een zonnig terrasje zitten met een drankje. Als huisgenoot ben ik easygoing en respectvol. Ik zoek een gezellige plek waar we ons allebei thuis voelen, af en toe samen iets leuks doen, en het fijn hebben samen. I’m Selma — 20 years old, part Greek and part Albanian (I’ve got both passports) and I moved to Amsterdam almost two years ago. I speak English, Albanian, Greek & Italian fluently and can understand a fair bit of Spanish and some Dutch as well. I work full-time in hospitality: I’m a tour guide at the Rijksmuseum and also do front office shifts at two hostels. Life stays busy, but I’m used to it. I’ve lived both alone and with roommates here in the city, so I know how to respect a shared space and keep things clean and easy. I’ve also dealt with the classic Dutch rental chaos — so yes, I’m fully aware of how contracts, rules, and responsibilities work. I’ve had my own flat for over a year now, but honestly? Living solo gets lonely, and it’s just not worth throwing money at. I thought having my own place in the center was the ultimate flex, but I realized it’s not really it, especially for someone like me who’s still figuring out where life will take me after these next few years I plan on spending in Amsterdam. Another big reason I’m looking to switch is to be smarter with my money — I’d rather invest in experiences that actually make me happy, like traveling or the occasional festivals. I don’t throw house parties and I don't go out much aside from events here and there. I do occasionally host friends from abroad (just a couch and good vibes — nothing disruptive). I’m clean, chill, and respectful — I believe in creating the kind of environment I’d want to live in, and I treat others the way I’d expect to be treated.
