I'm originally from Germany but spent the last few years living and working in Sweden and the US. I'm currently a PhD student in the system security research group at the VU Amsterdam.

Mijn naam is Femke, ik ben 20 jaar en op zoek naar een kamer in Utrecht. Ik studeer klassiek viool aan hku Utrechts conservatorium en ik heb het daar erg naar mijn zin! (Het oefenen van mijn instrument zal ik alleen op school doen) Ik kom uit Haarlem en zal geregeld in het weekend naar mijn ouders gaan, ook omdat ik daar nog een baantje heb. Ik wil graag in Utrecht iets vinden omdat ik van de stad hou en mijn studententijd echt hier wil ervaren. Ook is het noodzakelijk want ik ben veelste veel tijd kwijt aan op en neer reizen elke dag. Ik geloof dat ik een goede huisgenoot zal zijn, ik ben zelfstandig en respecteer het als mensen tijd voor zichzelf willen hebben. Ik vind het belangrijk dat er onderling goed contact is om misverstanden te voorkomen en ik vind het gezellig om samen een drankje te doen of te eten, wanneer het uitkomt!

For the past 5 years, I've lived independently and in shared flats, so I already have some experience living with others. Ik ben een expat uit Italië (Zuid-Tirol) en mijn moedertaal is Duits. Mijn Nederlands is goed genoeg voor een normaal gesprek, met hier en daar een paar Engelse woorden. Ik spreek naturrlijk Engels en wat Italiaans. Ik heb afstudeert (Master in Neuroscience and Cognition) en werk nu als onderzoeksassistent op de afdeling voor experimentele psychologie. Ik ben daar erg dankbar voor, want wetenschap is mijn passie. Sport is een grote hobby van me, hardlopen, fietsen, zwemmen, wat workout, en boulderen. Aan de rustige kant ben ik een fan van bordspellen en RPG's, en ik lees ook graag en leer over de wereld. Ik ben een vrij rustig persoon, maar ik praat graag met mensen, over van alles en nog wat. De sociale sfeer en het gevoel dat er andere mensen zijn is het beste aan gedeeld wonen. Ik kan over het algemeen goed met mensen en ben erg open en eerlijk en niet snel beledigd, waardoor het makkelijk is om over eventuele problemen te praten. I’m a expat from Italy (South Tyrol), and my mother tongue is German. My Dutch is good enough to hold a normal conversation, with a few English words here and there. I also speak English and some Italian. I just finished my Master in Neuroscience and Cognition and am now working as research assisstant at the department for experimental psychology, which I am really grateful for, because science is my passion. Sport is a big hobby of mine, running, cycling, swimming, some workout, and bouldering. On the calm side I am a fan of board games and RPGs, and I also like to read and learn about the world. I am a rather calm person, but I enjoy talking with people, about everything and anything. The social atmosphere and the feeling that there are other cool people around is the best thing about shared living. I generally get along pretty well with people and am very open and honest and not easily offended, which makes it easy to talk about any issues that might come up.

I am a third-year college student who wants to become a film director. Play your cards right and if you let me live in your apartment, it will become a museum in the future and you'll make a fortune. But in all seriousness, I am a very clean, agreeable person who likes harmony and getting along with everyone(due to an unstable home life). Just kidding. My wish is to make everyone as comfortable as possible in their own home, and I hope that is what I also get in return. I tend to be more on the quiet side and will likely be quite busy with my internship at the hospital/research institute. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and going out to explore new things and meet new people! Besides my passion for medicine and the sciences, I also love art and being creative.
