About the Accommodation

We have a spacious room with a private bathroom available in our large family home in the Reitdiep neighbourhood of Groningen. The bathroom has a washbasin, toilet and shower. We have also created a kitchenette, allowing you to prepare your own meals using an electric hob. A dishwasher is also available.

The accommodation is located on the second floor of our house, which was built in 2019, so everything is still relatively new!

The room is fully furnished and includes:

A table/desk with a folding chair

A single bed with mattress (duvet, pillow and bed linen are not included)

A cosy seating area with a sofa and TV

Curtains

A small refrigerator

An electric hob

A dishwasher

Cutlery and crockery

Pots, pans, glasses and cups

The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the hallway on the second floor. You are welcome to use the washing machine by prior arrangement.

Internet is included in the rent.

About Us

We are a family with two children and a cat. We live on the ground floor and first floor. Our 11-year-old son also has his bedroom on the second floor.

We are looking for someone to rent the room temporarily, with the rental period ending no later than 1 July 2027.

Our preference is for a female student or working student who is friendly, considerate, tidy and enjoys living in a family home. It is important that you feel comfortable around children and cats.

We have a very affectionate cat who loves attention and enjoys being around people, so we are looking for someone who likes cats and doesn't mind having a friendly feline companion around.

Living Together

We want everyone in our home to feel comfortable and at ease. As we are a family with two children and a cat, we value a peaceful atmosphere and mutual consideration.

Peace and quiet: We like to keep our home peaceful and cosy. For this reason, parties are not permitted.

Visitors: You are welcome to have visitors, provided this is discussed and agreed upon with us in advance. Visitors are permitted no more than once every six weeks.

Cleanliness: We ask you to keep your room and bathroom tidy and clean. The room and bathroom are professionally or regularly cleaned once a month.

Mutual respect: We value open and friendly communication and respect each other's privacy and daily routines.

Children and our cat: You will be living in a family home with two children and an affectionate cat. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable in this environment and enjoys having a cat around.

Above all, we hope to offer you a pleasant, peaceful and welcoming place to live where you can feel at home while studying or working in Groningen.

Location

We live in Reitdiep, Groningen, close to the Zernike Campus, where both Hanze University of Applied Sciences and the University of Groningen are located.

This makes the room a convenient place to live for students attending either institution.
